The Old Town Design Group was formed by Jeff Langston and Justin Moffett with the objective of developing and building unique residential communities in and around the city of Carmel. The company was started with a vision of serving the needs of clients seeking a well-built and right sized custom home with a high level of detailing, but without the wasted square footage and everything that goes along with it.
Starting with Blackwell Park, Cobblestone Commons, Applegate, and Reading Tree Park in old town Carmel, and now Gray Oaks on Carmel's east side, the company has continued to expand by using our market expertise to create opportunities for clients to live in both the ideal home and the ideal location.
Justin Moffett is passionate about working with clients to design the perfect home and is constantly engaged in seeking “outstanding locations” for new home communities. Justin got his start in the land development and home building business eight years ago after studying ministry and business management at Indiana Wesleyan. Prior to entering the industry, Justin served in a pastoral ministry role with a church in Kokomo, IN.
Justin and his wife Jennifer, an illustrator and stay-at-home mom, are both life-long residents of Carmel and the parents of three very active boys; Jackson, Marcus, and Fletcher. The Moffetts attend Common Ground Christian Church and love living in old town Carmel near the Monon Trail.
Jeff Langston brings a vast amount of home design and construction management experience to Old Town as the owner and operator of the award winning Heartwood Custom Homes. For the past 12 years Heartwood has thrived as one of central Indiana’s premier luxury custom home builders. Prior to starting Heartwood, Jeff worked for Procter and Gamble as both a financial analyst and as a marketing manager. Jeff currently serves on the board of directors for the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis.
Jeff and his wife Wendy, an interior designer and owner of Everything Home, are the parents of three children; Jack, Thomas, and Nicole. The Langstons attend Carmel United Methodist Church and are very active in Carmel youth sports.
